In the Parnell-Pon-sonby game at Eden Park tho former com- jj piled the fine total of 317 runs, which makes jj Ponsonby's task a formidable one, consider- ij ing it, has lost one wicket for 30. The j, other game at Eden Park, between Eden and |( Grafton, should result in a. win for the latter. 'Eden batted very poorly to score 83 Ij in its first innings, while Grafton already j tins 104 on for five wickets. A close finish is anticipated in the game |j between Y.M.C.A. and lung's Old Boys at King's College. King's Old Boys scored j 10»> runs in its first innings, and Y.M.C.A. |j has rompiled 20 runs for one wicket. The University-North Shore contest at Devonport is in a very interesting" position owing to poor batting by both sides on the open- j ing day. University made a meagre 60 runs | in its first innings, to which North Shore ij replied with 66. In its second innings Uni- ij versity has scored hut. 10 runs for four wickets. Dower grade competitions will be jj continued. SUBURBAN ASSOCIATION. SECOND SERIES OF MATCHES. | The Auckland City and Suburban Cricket I Association will commence the second series j of matches in its senior competition at the j Domain to-morrow.
