TRAMWAYMEN'S WAGES.
EXEMPTION FROM CUT URGED APPLICATION AT DUNEDIN. [BY TET.EGRAPH. TRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUXEDIX. Thursday. The Arbitration Court to-day heard an application by the Dunedin Tramways Employees' Union for exemption from the general order of the Court involving a 10 per cent, reduction in wages. The principal reason for the application was that it was contended that, as the tramways employees had always been excluded from tho operation of the Court's pronouncements when such pronouncements effected an increase in wages, they should also be excluded from the operation of the general order for a reduction. The Court reserved decision.
