ROWING.
NORTH SHORE CLUB. The annual meeting of the North Shore Rowing Club was held last evening. The president, Mr. D. W. McLean, presided. The report stated that tho active membership of 33 had been reduced by resignation during the year, to that of tho smallest club in Auckland, namely, 26. ' In spile of this tho club had beon one of the most successful in Auckland, Tho results in the regatta reflected great credit upon the coach, Mr. W. II Oliver. Although tho club commenced tho season with fin overdraft of £SB, expenditure had been kept down to a minimum. A auln of £ls had been paid oil the boat which had been purchased earlier in tho season and an improvement of £- 7s lid was shown on the overdraft Considering the fact thjU subscription from members had been negligible {his was satisfactory. „ . With the re-entry of the club into senior rowing, the president said the prospects should bo bright, and if new blood could be induced (o join another successful season should result. Tho following officers wore elected:— Patron, Mr 11. F. Meikle; president, Mr. D. W. McLean; commodore. Mr. C. Seagar: vice-presidents. Messrs. J. P. Walsh and P J Kalaugher, added to tho standing list; 'secretary, Mr. W. Walsh; treasurer. Mr. Macduff; assistant-secretary, Mr. r. J. Norris; club captain, Mr. \V. Dean; deputycaptain. Mr. A. Cotes; committee, Messrs. B. Rutledge. W. Oliver. E. Kalaugher. S. Butland and J. Dakers; delegates to the Auckland Rowing Association. Messrs. Ji. But ledge. W Walsh and W, Dean; honorary auditor.
