BAN ON SINGLE MEN.

MOUNT ROSKILL'S DECISION. NO WORK UNDER SCHEME FIVE. A decision not to employ able-bodied single men under the No. 5 scheme was made by the Mount Roskill Bond Board last evening. The decision followed advice from the Labour Department that single unemployed men should seek work at the special relief camps. With the exception of a few elderly single men and a, few single men suffering from physical disabilities the board will employ only married men under th. scheme.
