FOOTBALLERS ROBBED.
Petty thefts from changing rooms sports grounds are not uncommon, say* a Wellington newspaper. Tvo scratch teams playing a friendly -Rugby match at Lyall Bay on Saturday afternoon failed to take any precautions and several the players had their clothes rifled. J" thief or thieves took all the money t le could lay their hands on. as well 8 watches, e garette cases and other property. Several engraved cigarette caS were emptied and thrown about on floor, but others which had no marks identification were taken.
