OFFICERS AT MEADOWBANK* A satisfactory season's progress was shown by tbo report and. balance-sheet presented at the annual meeting of the Meadowbaak Lawn Tennis Club, Mr. A. Lamont presiding-. The following officers were telected:— President, Mr. A. Lamont secretary and treasurer, Mr. S. Bain; auditor. Miss A. Green; delegate to Auckland" Lawn Tennit Association, Mr. F. McKechnie; committee, Messrs. C. Green, T. Gray, P. McKechnie, Misses A. Morton, G. Jeffrey, Mrs. H. Tizard. - ' Opening day was fixed for October 3. TE AWAMUTU CLUB. [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE AWAMUTU, Monday. The annu.il mealing of the Te Awamuta Lawn Tennis Club wa3 well attended. It was stated that the laying-down of threa of the sand courts in permanent surfacing cost £23(5, and this absorbed the available balance and left the club £77 in debt, but it was confidently expected" to extinguish this during the coming The following officers were elected:—Patron, the Mayor of Te Awamutu, Mr. C. G. Downes; president.. Mr. A. F. Walker: vice-presi-dents, Messrs. O. S. West, F. Battson and T. Clark; secretary. Mr. A. W. D. Patterson; treasurer. Mr. D. G. McCallum; general committee, Mesdames A. F. Walker and S. Clark. Misses D. Noonan and Ji. West, Messrs. C. Reilly and A. Ross; auditor. Mr. W. J. McGivern: ground committee. Messrs. Walker, Clark and McCallum; match committee, Misses Noonan and Irwin, Messrs. "Ross and McCallum. A reduced scale of subscriptions was fixed. - It was decided j to unite with the bowling and croquet clubs in opening the season on October 3.
