RESULTS AT MIDDLEMORE

GLENDOWIE OPEN TOURNAMENT

The qualifying round of the junior championship and the first round of match play in the club and intermediate championships were played by members of the Auckland Golf Club at Mlddlemore on Saturday. Heavy ruin fell in the morning, and those players who started early met with very trying conditions. The weather cleared in the afternoon, and the course dried, and was in excellent condition. The second round nnd the semi-final of the bottom half of the draw for tho Titirangi Golt Club's championship has now been completed. In the second round W. L. Robinson beat R, R. McCrystal, 1 up, Robinson won the first five holes and maintained the lead until the 12th, where the competitors were all square. From this stage most holes were halved and Robineon secured a win with a 3 at the 18th. 1?.. M. Daere played Bobinßon in the semifinal and commenced by winning tho first four holes. Robinson won the sth, 7th and 81 Ii and reduced the difference to one at tho turn. Dacro secured a lucky half at tho 10th from a drive into the rough. The 11th he won in 3, which made him 2 up. The 12th and 13th were halved in s'e, and at, the lith Robinson missed a short putt and Daere was 3 up. The game finished at, the 15th. Daere obtaining a 4 and winning the match. 4 and 3. The final between R. M. Daere and 1. A. Goulding will be played over JO holes dming next week-end. A four-ball bogey handicap, played on Saturday, resulted |n a win for Tall is (4) and F. S.
