The annual convention of the American Legion at Detroit to-day commended Mr. Hoover's war debt moratorium and urged that Congress should act upon the debt holiday promptly. A resolution was considered asking Congress to request the various States to hold a referendum on the modification of the prohibition Jaw. The legion .instructed its Legislative Committee to seek the passage of a law to prevent the 3,000,000 aliens, the estimated number of those who have illegally entered the country, from working or doing business in the United States.
