TAMAKI CLUB'S SEASON. YEAR OF GOOD PROGRESS. A year of good progress, in spite of the depression, was disclosed in the report ol the Tamaki Yacht Club,, presented at the annual meeting last evening. dore, Mr. \V. A, Wilkinson, presided over a good attendance. . ... , Ua The membership had doubled, stated the report, while all tho receipts were in advance of previous years .totals, A feature of the past season had been the granting of a lease for 21 years of a eite on Point Bastion for a clubhouse. The Bite had been inspected by the club b architect. Mr. M K Draffin, who was preparing a plan ol the building. Steps were also being taken to have the section levelled and the seawall rained and extended under the unemployment scheme. Ihe building fund had now reached well over £3OO. Tho financial statement showed . a credit balance of £2O on the year's working. Ihe receipts included £25 from memberß subscriptions £25 from donations and £l9 from entrance fees. The principal item o expenditure was £4O for prizes. The balance of assets over liabilities was £222, the liabilities being nil. _ .. , , . Jackson; hon. architect, Mr. M. K. Draffin; hon. solicitor, Mr. G. F. White: auditors. Messrs. W. McLaren, W. E. Webster; general com-, mittee, Messrs. F. Brockett, E. P. Wild, G. Greenhough. A. Reid. W. H. Ma dill J. Allison, S. Nicholas. E. Row©, G. F. White, H. Grayson and Captain Richmond; clubhouse captnin, Mr. A. White: delegates to Auckland Yacht and Motor-Boat Association, Messrs. W. A Wilkinson, S. O. Nicholas; judge. Mr. S. O. Nicholas; starter, Mr. W„ A. Wilkinson; timekeeper, Mr. J. Allison. , Mr. E. H. Davis brought np the question of securing a breakwater for the. protection of small craft near Point Bastion. The proposal was enthusiastically received by all present, and it was decided to refer the matter to the committee, and later call a meeting: of the residents of tho district to discuss the proposal further.
