MISSING AIRMAN.

HOPE FOR MR. CRAMER. DISCOVERY OF WRECKAGE. (Received September 23, 11.15 p.m.) LONDON, Sept, 23. Surprise has been created by a broadcast announcement to the effect that it is believed, in consequence of the discovery of the wreckage of a monoplane in the North Sea on September 15, that Mr. Parker Cramer is still alive. A look-out is requested about the islands off the north-west of Scotland. A British trawler picked up in the North Sea, the wreckage of a monoplane, which was identified from the markings as part of the machine used by Mr. Parker Cramer, the American airman who attempted a transatlantic flight via Greenland, Iceland and the Shetlands. Mr. Cramer was reported as missing between the Shetlands and Copenhagen on August 10.
