FLIGHT TO ENGLAND.
KINGSFORD SMITH'S ATTEMPT SLIGHT DEFECT IN MACHINE. SYDNEY, Sept.. 23. Air-Commodore Kingsford Smith, who has reached Wyndham, whence he will start on his attempt to set a recoid foi a flight to England, said he had a worrying trip from Newcastle Waters owing to a defect in the oil-feed pipe of his aeroplane.
