YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
[CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH. Auckland.—The weather was fine yesterday, but the sky at times was cloudy and threatening until evening, when the conditions improved. The barometer rose after mid-day, and registered 29.90 in. last night " Wellington.—The wind turned to the south during Tuesday night and the weather yesterday morning was wet and cold. Conditions improved in the afternoon and the remainder of the day was fine. Christchurch. —Following seven degrees of frost the weather was cloudy unti 10 o'clock in the morning. The sky then cleared and the remainder of the da) was gloriously fine with a model ats breeze from the south-west. The temperature rose to 52 degrees and the barometer remained steady at 29.96. Dunedin.—After, a dull morning th« afternoon was bright and fine with a lighfc breeze from the north-east. The barometer showed little movement and registered 29.95.
