TOUR BY ALL BLACKS.
GREAT BRITAIN AND IRELAND. ACCEPTANCE OF INVITATION. [BT TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The agreement of the New Zealand Rugby Union to play under the rules of the International Rugby Board has borne fruit, for this evening the management committee of the union received and accepted an invitation to send a team to tour Great Britain and Ireland in the 1936-37 season. The invitation came from the four Home unions, which means thafc matches between New Zealand and Scotland will be resumed after a lapse of 31 years. Mr. R.' G. Warren, secretary of the International- Rugby Board, writing from Dublin, said that Mr. Wray's suggestion that a tour should take place in the 1935-36 season was considered, but unless the New Zealand Union has some very special reason to the contrary, the season 1936-37 would suit the Home unions best. The invitation was accepted, the chairman, Mr. S. S. Dean, remarking that it was extremely pleasing to New Zealand to receive an invitation from the four Home unions.
