POSTAGE STAMPS DESIGN.

ENTRIES FOR COMPETITION. CLOSING AT END OF MONTH. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The competition announced throughout the world some months ago offering prizes for designs for a new set of New Zealand postage stamps closes at the end of this month. Entries are to hand in large numbers from all parts of the world, and local entries are expected to arrive during the next few days. A rumour which gained currency recently that the department had already ordered a new set of stamps is ground less. It was probably based on the fact that new revenue stamps, which have nothing to do with postage, have already made their appearance.
