OBLIGATION TO AMERICA. POSITION UNDER AGREEMENT FRENCH AND ITALIAN RECEIPTS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received September IS. 7.15 p.m.) British "Wireless. RUGBY, Sept. 17. In a Parliamentary answer to a question regarding war debts, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. Snowden, stated Hint the net war debt due to Britain by Ttalv at the signing of the funding agreement was £560.000,000. The net amount, received since the war was £23.000.000, and the amount to be received under the agreement was £254.550.000. The war debt due to Britain by France at. the signing of the funding agreement was £600,000,000. The amount received since the war was £43.625,000, and the total to be received under the agreement was £799.500.000. The total owing by Britain to the United Slates at the signing of the funding agreement was 4,600,000.000 dollars (about £935.000.000). The amount paid since was dollars (£275.000,000), and the aggregate amount to be paid under the agreement to the completion of the payments was 11105,963.000 dollars (£2,260.000,000).
