UNITED STATES WHEAT.

DISPOSAL OF SURPLUS. LARGE GERMAN PURCHASE. WASHINGTON, Sept. 11. The Federal Farm Board announces that it has approved the sale of 7,500,000 bushels of stabilisation wheat to the Deutsche Getreide Handelsgesellshaft. The purchase is based on a price of cents a bushel and consists of No 2 amber durum, No. 1 dark hard and hard winter, to be delivered at an average rate of 853,333 bushels a month with preference to American ships for 50 per cent., of the tonnage. Payment is to be mada at New York in bonds bearing per cent, guaranteed interest maturing on December 31, 1934.

The Farm Board s wheat sold since July 1 totals 47,500,000 bushels, which, added to the sales through regular commercial channels, means "that the board has disposed of nearly 100,000,000 bushels of wheat since January 1.

The stabilisation corporation's holdings now are estimated at less than 200,000,000 bushels, which it is hoped will be halved by further sales. ,
