VETERANS' TOURNAMENT.

RESULTS OF THE PLAY.

[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ' ROTORUA, Wednesday.

The New Zealand veterans' tournament was continued under perfect golfing weather on the Rotorua Club's links today.

The second round of match play in the afternoon resulted as follows:

Veterans' Cup.—W. D. Ross beat D. MacCormick, 5 up and 4; C. H. Read head beat E. C. Torless, 1 up; E. H Liddle < beat T. Mingay, 2 up; F. W. Wilkie beat B. A. Woolf, 2 and 1.

Second Division.—C. Worthington beat H. Brown, 3 and 1; H. liorton beat C. Palmer, 4 and 3; J. Somerville begt D. Pavitt, 1 up; E. Hutchinson beat C. Kusabs, 1 up. • A meeting of competitors was held at the clubhouse, al which matters affecting the tournament were discussed. It was unanimously decided to carry on under the .existing conditions. Much satisfaction was expressed at the condition of the course and the plav.
