OPERATIC SOCIETY.
The Auckland Amateur Operatic Society held a very successful social evening in the society's hall yesterday. An excellent programme of musical items had been arranged, comprising songs by Misses Molly Green, D. Johnston, . Messrs. L. Kevcu, Jack Gordon, a violin solo by Mr. Ronald Muston and items by Mr. Bert Skeels* quartette. Committee members present were: — Mrs. A. J. Prentice, Misses Dorecn D'Authreau, Eva Stares, Ethel Rae ,and Gladys Fowler. There were also present the following:—Mrs. E. Perkins, Mrs. M. McCallum, Mrs. Charles Prime, Mrs. Young, Misses Betty Atkinson, Reno Tanner, Marjorie Faire, Joan Roberts, D. Johnston, Mona Craig, I'eggy Cutting, Valerie McCallum, Jean Carson, Alwyn Kent, Noni Wright, Thora Adams, Gladys McAnneny, Kitty Smallbone, Janie Shaw, Madge Gawith, Ina Carlyon, Harrison, Ivy Maxwell, Ivy JSlusker, Molly Green, E. Trayes, Sybil Phillips, Nora Phillips, Fay Brooking, J. Alexander, Ailsa Lewis, E. McGrath and M. McShane.
