BALL AT DIXIELAND.
AUCKLAND CHEMISTS.
The annual ball of tho Auckland Chemists' Sports and Entertainment Association was held at Dixieland last evening, and proved a most successful function. There was a very large attendance of dancers and every cubicle was taken. Supper was served in the outer entrance way, where tho tables were arranged diagonally and were decorated with bowls of daffodils and jonquils. The Dixieland orchestra played the dance music under tho leadership of Mr. 11. Neilson. Tho cubicles at the far end of the cabaret were kept for the official party, and these were hung with baskets of ferns. Among the dancers were Mrs. E. Smith, who wore a frock of flame net and georgette; Mrs. J. Eccles, white satin and georgette over pink; Mrs. R. Harrison, delft blue and silver beaded georgette; Mrs. R. Wood, Chinese red crepe satin; Mrs. E. 0. Booth, blue and beige rose chenille georgette; Mrs. L. C. Day, pink tucked georgette; Mrs. S. J. Atkin3, ivory souple satin; Mrs. W. Clash, black lacc with red flowers; Mrs. E. Roberts, almond green satin beaute; Mrs. V. Neill, black satin and laco with jade flower; Mrs. G. Johnson, white net over pink; Mrs. A. Townsend, turquoiso blue satin; Mrs. W. H. McKinney, ciel blue georgette; Mrs. T. W. Irwin, gold lamo and lace; Mrs. C. Iremonger, black lace; Mrs. V. Simpson, flame taffeta; Mrs. T. Wilson, white georgette; Miss Gertrude Simpson, sunset-shaded taffeta with back bow; Miss Alison Tong, forest green taffeta; Miss Maida Mclndoe, wJiite georgette with silver embroideries; Miss Nina Wallace, rose-pink taffeta with flounced skirt; Miss Joyce Sayers, silver lace; Miss Irene Kelly, daffodil taffeta; Miss Doreen O'Connor, ivory chiffon vel- \ r et; Miss Panther, white taffeta and pink rose; Miss Molly Hutchings, pale pink georgette with natural shoulder spray; Miss Pat Connor, jade georgette. An exhibition waltz and quickstep were given by Miss Margaret O'Connor and her partner.
