BILL FOR PARLIAMENT.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received August 25, 7.5 p.m.)
British Wireless. RUGBY, August 24. 'Die future of the India Round-Table Conference in the light of the change of Government must necessarily await an authoritative statement by the Secretary of Slate for India in the new Government.
Meanwhile the preparations for the conference are proceeding without interruption or modification.
The Round-Table Conference was called to help the Government by such a measure of agreement as might be shown in suggesting the lines on which the bill to amend the Government of India should proceed. All the political parties agreed that such a bill should be introduced into Parliament as soon as possible. The value of this method of consultation remains unimpaired.
