THIEF TAKES BLANKETS.
MEAN ACTION AT STRATFORD. POOR FAMILY SUFFERS. [by telegraph.—press association.] STRATFORD, Tuesday. A particularly mean theft has been reported to the Hospital Board. A family in receipt of charitable aid as the result of unemployment (vent out, and on returning found that the house had been entered and blankets stolen from the beds. A welfare officer stated that sacks had to be obtained to put on the beds. The board thereupon decided to grant further relief.
