FALL INTO GULLY.
YOUNG GUMDIGGER'S. FATE. DROP OF ABOUT 200 FEET. [Br TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] THAMES, .Tuesday. A verdict of "accidental death caused by a fall while searching for gum in the back country of Thames was returned at the inquest to-day in the death of Joze Izotich, aged 18, a Dalmatian gumdigger. * Evidence was given that deceased parted from his father on Saturday morning, and as he did not return to the camp by dark his father and his mate became anxious. They searched fruitlessly until nine o'clock and then returned to the camp. The ■ following morning they organised a search party of other Dalmatians and the body was found in a gully at the foot of a waterfall at tho bottom of a bluff about '2ooft high. The body had to be hauled to the top of the bluff by ropes and carried on a pack horse for 20. miles. Deceased had received extensive injuries..
