UNLAWFULLY ON PREMISES.
LABOURER CONVICTED.
SIXTY-SECOND APPEARANCE
"This man is out only a few hours before he is in again," said Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Police Court on Saturday, when Daniel Keane, aged 51, labourer, was charged with being found without lawful excuse on premises at Bf, Lorne Street, on Friday night, and also with committing mischief by wilfully damaging a constable's trousers to the extent of ss. Accused pleaded guilty.
Detective-Sergeant Kelly said accused was arrested by a constable, who saw him on the premises in Lorne Street at about 11.30 p.m. on Friday. Accused became offensive, and tore the constable's trousers. He was making his 62nd appearance in Court.
Accused was fined £2 on the first charge, in default 14 days' imprisonment, and was convicted and discharged on the second. He was ordered to make good the damage.
