THEFT OF PERAMBULATOR.
ONE INSTALMENT PAID. PROBATION FOR COOK. 4 A charge of stealing a cane perambulator valued at £8 7s 6d, the property of a city firm, was admitted by Leonard James Patrick Ready, aged 23, a cook, in the Police Court on Saturday. Mr. Aekins represented accused. Detective-Sergeant Kelly said accused paid a deposit of 3s and one instalment of 3s. He then " left Auckland, and sold the perambulator at Te Puke.
Accused was admitted to probation for 12 months and was ordered to make restitution.
