House of Representatives at the general election. Sir William was (lie Postmaster-General in the. last Reform Government and did not. seek reelection in 1928 when Ashburton, his constituency, was absorbed in the new electorate of Mid-Canterbury. The sitting member is Mr. 13. Jones, former lletoim member for Ellesmere, which also became part of Mid' Canterbury.
