DIOCESAN HIGH SCHOOL.

TWENTY-EIGHTH BIRTHDAY. An event of special interest to past and present pupils of the Diocesan Girls' High School is tho 28th birthday of the school, which this year occurred on Sunday. A special service for tho senior school was held in the cliapol on Friday morning, an address being given by the Hev. G. C. Cruiekshank, school chaplain. On Saturday afternoon a birthday party was given for the pupils of tho junior school by tho headmistress, Miss Sandford, a feature of the tea boing tho birthday cake, decorated in the school colours of blue and white, which was presented by the council. An entertainment by the girls of the sixth form and others was given in tho hall and provided an enjoyable conclusion to tho celebration.
