LONDON WEDDING.

NEW ZEALAND-BORN BRIDE. [FROM OPU OWN CORRESPONDENT.3 LONDON, May 15. The wedding was solemnised on May 9, at Christ Church, East Sheen, London, of Miss Nancy Lillian Sandford, daughter of Mr. F. T. Sandford (trade and produce officer, Iligh Commissioner's office, London) and Mrs. Sandford, formerly of Christchurch, to Mr. Alec Douglas Newnham, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Newnham, of East Sheen. The Ilev. E. ir. Tupper, vicar, officiated. Tlie hridc was given away by her father, and wore a graceful dress of ivory satin, with veil of ivory lace and spray of orange blossom. Her bouquet, mainly of Harrissi lilies and piiik sweet peas, was tied with streamers of pink ribbon. The two bridesmaids, Miss J. G. Sandford (sister) and Miss M. Stagg, were dressed alike in one of the new shades of green chiffon, with coatees and small hats of velvet to match. Each carried a bouquet of pink carnations and mauve sweet peas, and wore a crystal necklace. Mr. B. Warren was best man and Mr. C. D. Warren officiated at the organ. After the ceremony the wedding party and guests went to the lounge of the Sheen Lawn Tennis Club. The bride and bridegroom are prominent among the players of lawn tennis at the club, so many members, in flannels, arrived to take part in the function and to convey their congratulations and good wishes. The young couple also are keen golfers and they are spending their honeymoon on a golf and lawn tennis tour of the south of England. Many presents were received, including a canteen of silver and cutlery from the employees of the firm of tlie bridegroom's father, and a silver salver from members of the East Sheen lennts Club. New Zealanders present at the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Cameron, Mrs. A. Cribb, Miss Hanlon, Mrs. Arnold Horc and Mrs. Wilson.
