AMATEUR ATHLETICS.

WINTER COMPETITIONS. The Auckland Amateur Athletic nnd Cycle Club held its usual meeting on the Outer Domain on Saturday afternoon. The 75yds. sprint drew good entries, necessitating three heats and a final, which was won by J. Dowie in the good time of 7 2-ss. G. Elliott won both the discus throwing and the shot putting contests. J. AV. Savidan won the four miles harriers race by two yards. Results are as follows: 75 Yards Handicap.—First heat: H.
