BRANCH AT TE PUKE.
[FROM Dill OWN COIIHvi.SL'O.V OFKT. ] TE PUKE, Saturday. A meeting for tho purpose of forming an affiliated branch of . tho Returned Soldiers' Association at Te Puke was held this week. Mr. C. Montgomery occupied the chair. It was decided to form a branch association, and the election of officers resulted as follows President, Mr. G. 11, Montgomery,; vice-president, Mr. .7. Courtney; committee, Messrs. 11. A. Washes', F. Stewart,' R. A. Johnson, T. Davis and J. Alt rill. FIRST BATTERY REUNION. GATHERING IX AUCKLAND. There was an attendance of about 50 members from all parts of the Auckland Province at th* fourth annual reunion of the First Battery of the Field Artillery of (lie Expeditionary Forces, held on Saturday evening. Lieutenant-Colonel K. H Northeroft, D.5.0., presided. After the toast to the King had been honoured the battery's roll of honour was read by Battery-Sergeant-Major Butler. Musical items were contributed by Messrs. J. O'Malley and Potter.
