CONTROVERSY OVER NAME

BALLOT NOW IN PROGRESS

The controversy over the name of Little Murray's Bay and the possible confusion of it with Murray's Bay will he settled this month. A postal ballot on a proposal to alter tlio name of Little Murray's Bay to Awatea Bay is being taken. The plan has the approval of the Waiteniata County Council. The ballot papers were issued a' few days ago and the result will be made available on Saturday week. An assurance has been given that no increase in rates would be involved in a change of name.
