REPLY TO SIR JAMES PARR.
FARMERS' UNION'S ATTITUDE
[FROM Otn OWN correspondent.] HAMILTON. Sunday. "Tlio invitation extended to Sir James Parr to address tlio Waikato sub-provin-cial cxcculivo of the Farmers' Union is still open,'-' said Mr. W. 11. Allen, agent to the executive, in a statement made yesterday. Mr. Allen added that his executive had received a letter from Sir James Parr dated Juno 1, in which ho had admitted that he had received an invitation to address them. Mr. Allen added, "It would seem that Sir James does not wish to accept the invitation, which was of his own seeking. The invitation is still open. The statement that wo called in tlio press in order to publicly attack him is hardly worth a reply. Our meetings are always open to the press, and arc regularly reported."
