NORTHCOTE TENNIS DANCE.

A very enjoyable dance was held in tho Palais Theatre, Northcote, last evening under the auspices of tho Birkenhead and Northcote Tennis Club. Tho committee responsible for the arrangements were:—Mesdames J. Oiay, If. Tyer, Miss M. Newman, Messrs. E. W. B. Herriek, H. W. Tyer, A. E. Taylor and A. Cadness. Tho Pirate Ship orchestra provided the dance music and Messrs. P. McGovern and H. W. Tyer were in charge of the floor arrangements. Anions the ladies present were:—Mrs. R Martin (Mayoress of Northcote), Mrs. F Maxwell, Mrs. A. W. Christmas, Mrs. a! Cadness, Mrs. C. H. Colefjravei Mrs. A V. Tyer, Mrs. A. Aspden, Mrs. Whitehead, Mrs. A. McFetridge, Miss Clietwvnd, Miss F. Swinburne, Miss Crombie, Miss M. Lockie, Miss E. Hancock, Miss 35. Martin and Miss A. Whitehead.
