KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR. [from our own correspondent.] HAMILTON, Tuesday. Severe injuries to the head were received by Mr. Norman Ratcliffe, chief chemist to the Glaxo Manufacturing Company, Limited, Hamilton, as the result of being knocked down by a motorcar in Victoria Street shortly after noon to-day. Mr. Ratcliffe was crossing the street near the post office when he was struck by the car, which was driven by Mr. C. F. McFarlane, a visitor from the King Country. He was rendered unconscious and after receiving medical aid was taken homo. His condition is fairly serious. .• .
