OTAHUHU SCHOOL.
DECISIONS OF committee: The Otahuhu School Committee this week authorised the chairman, Mr. C. R. Pctric, to take up with tho Education Board the parents' complaint regarding the use of an unlined iron shed as a classroom at tho Otahuhu Junior High School. It was agreed to ask tho medical officer of health for his opinion as to tho suitability of the drinking fountains at the school, which the borough inspector had suggested should be replaced. . A committfo comprising the chairman, the headmaster, Mr. A. Murdoch, and Mr. "W. K. Murray was set up to arrange for the provision of . a hot drink for the children at lunch-time during the winter months. It was suggested this could be done at a nominal charge of 2d per child per week. Tho chairman reported that the capitation grant for this year had been reduced from £240..t0 £187,...and .the. committee would have to find an additional £3O a year for the dental clinic. , "
