WIELDER IN RUMANIA. PRIME MINISTER'S EDICTS. (Received May 25, 7.45 p.m.) BUCHAREST, May 24. Tho Prime Minister of Rumania, Professor Jorga, who is an apostle of a return to simplicity and a wielder of the " morality mop," declares for punishing mercilessly politicians who misuse their positions for profit at the expense of the State. Letters from peasants have disclosed much local graft and maladministration.
Tho Prime Minister is ruthlessly enforcing tho prohibition of cosmetics and silk stockings among civil servants and offenders arc instantly dismissed.
