BOYS STRUCK BY CARS.
ACCIDENTS AT GREY LYNN. CONDITION OF ONE SERIOUS. Two boys met with similar accidents within a few hours in the Great North Road, Grey Lynn, yesterday, each being knocked down by a motor-car.
While crossing the road near the Western Springs Speedway late in the afternoon, Ernest Charles Home, aged 9 years, whose parents reside at 18, Putiki Street, Archhill, was knocked over and received injuries to the body. After receiving attention from Dr. 0. I'. Lamb, of Grey Lynn, the boy was taken to the Auckland Hospital. His condition late last evening was reported as serious.
Concussion and injuries to the head were suffered by Trevor Morris, aged 6 years, whose parents live at 7, Cooper Street, Grey Lynn, through being struck by another motor-car in the Great North Road a few hours later. The boy was treated by Dr. S. Kenrick, of Grey Lynn, and was later removed to the hospital. His condition is regarded as satisfactory.
