A BALANCED BUDGET.
IRISH FREE STATE FINANCE. CERTAIN TAXES INCREASED. DUBLTN, May G, The Irish Free State Minister of Finance, Mr. E. Blvthe, in introducing the Budget said he expected tho accounts to balance for the third year in succession. The estimated expenditure was £25,253,000. The taxation proposals included 4d n gallon on petrol, increases of 2d a foot on sound films, >j,d per lb. on the sugar .duty, and the abolition of the tax on racecourse betting.
