Taking advantage of tho absence of the daughter's husband on military service, the father invited her to stay at her old home at. Clermont Kerrand. When they were at a lonely spot he suddenly tied a rope round her neck and hanged her on a tree. When she was dead he dragged her body to another tree and left it hanging there.
