COLLAPSE IN STREET.
WELL-KNOWN MAORI'S DEATH. [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE AWAMUTU, Thursday. A well-known settler of Parawera, Mr. Poi Hakana To Hika, better known as Jackson, collapsed in Te Awamutu at mid-day to-day. He had just crossed the street when he was seen to fall. lie was dead before a doctor arrived. Deceased was a very well-known and respected Maori, who had lived at Parawera for many years, where he farmed successfully, and took an active part in all local Affairs.
