ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.
THE SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. NORTH SHORE AND PONSONBY. GOOD CONTEST ANTICIPATED. The Auckland Football Association's senior grade championship will be continued to-morrow, when the second series of matches in the first round will be decided. After last week's auspicious opening it is anticipated that some fine football will be forthcoming to-morrow. North Shore will again be seen in the principal • contest at Blandford Park, its opponents being Ponsonby. Both teams revealed great possibilities last Saturday, so that a good, even and scientific contest should result. Thistle and Onehunga will provide the curtain-raiser at 1.30 p.m., while Y.M.C.A. and Celtic have been drawn to meet on Walker Park. The remaining game, between New Accord and Tramurewa, is set down for decision at New Lynn. Lower grade competitions will be continued. Following are the-teams:— TRAMUREWA.
