LEGIONARIES MUTINY.

Bitter fighting has occurred between the Spanish Foreign Legion and Spanish infantry near Tetuan, Spanish Morocco. The legionaries, who have remained loyal to ex-King Alfonso, paraded the 6treots near the official residence of the High Commissioner, General Gomez y Souza, carrying. Royalist flags. They were instantly opposed by the infantry who overpowered .them. Many casualties occurred before the Royalists were disarmed and marched back to their barracks. A mutiny at the Legion's headquarters at Dar Riffen followed immediately. Tho legionaries overpowered their officers and locked them in the ceils. The High Commissioner ordered threo infantry regiments from Ceuta to surround Dar Riffen. Shots were exchanged, and further reinforcements were necessary before the legionaries surrendered. Tho mutiny greatly excited the natives at Tetuan, where a general strike was declarsd. Demonstrators broko the windows at the Residency and pillaged European shops. Native cavalry failed to disperse the rioters. Street fighting is still in progress.
