BOUT FOR MIDDLE-WEIGHT TITLE. (Received May 3, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, May 3. The wrestling season was opened at Sydney Stadium yesterday with an exciting and rough bout for the middle-weight title of Australia between Jack Hammon, 10st 131b, the defender, and Jim Dcakin, list Hb, the challenger. Each man secured a fall. Hammon won 011 points, although Dcakin displayed marked cleverness. WRESTLING IN NEW YORK. LONDOS DEFEATS STEELE. NEW YORK. May 2. In a wrestling match, Londos, 14st 41b, beat Steele, 15st 41b, with a reverse headlock and body scissors, in 1 hour 22 minutes, after an exciting finish. The challenger gave the champion a desperate struggle throughout, losing only after he had been tossed over the top rope to the floor.
