HOSPITAL SENSATION.
MAN STAGGERS TO OFFICE.
' BULLET WOUND IN SIDE
REVOLVER FOUND LATER. A sensational incident occurred at the main entrance doors to the Auckland Hospital shortly after 9 o'clock 011 Saturday evening, when a young man staggered to the office with a bullet wound in his side. The young man, Mr. Trevor Wilson, of Great South Uoad, Papatoetoe, was formerly a patient in the hospital and had lately been an out-patient. His condition late last evening was reported to be serious. When the man was first seen by clerks in the office ho was highly excited and was pressing his hand to his side, his clothing being on fire. He was calmed and was admitted for examination. ]t was then found that. lip. had boon shot, the bullet having entered the left side of the abdomen. Subsequent, search revealed a revolver on the ground near the doors. Mr. Wilson left his home about a year ago and he recently received an injury at Great Barrier Island, which necessitated the amputation of the left arm. lie was brought to Auckland from the island by H.M.S. Duuediri, which was on its way to manoeuvres. Ho was discharged from the hospital last Tuesday, but was still receiving massage treatment.
