SHOP AND TEA ROOMS.
THEATRE BUILDING OUTBREAK

A firo this morning in Ifio Majestic Theatre building gutted Ferguson's confoctionery shop and extensively damaged the Grand tearooms above tho shop. The theatre vestibule and Bickford's stationery shop suffered damage by water. Tho flames had a strong hold when discovered. but the brigade effected a good save so far as the main portion of the theatre was concerned.
Mr. Ferguson's stock was insured for £ISOO m tho Yorkshire Office.
HOMESTEAD DESTROYED.
BUILDING UNOCCUPIED
[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TAUMARUNUI. Tuesday.
Fire completely destroyed a large eightroomed housu on Short's Estate, at Taringamotu, yesterday. The house was unoccupied and there was no ono engaged on tne farm at tho timn the outbreak occurred.
