BILLIARDS IN ENGLAND. LINDRUM AND NEWMAN. . f (Received April 7, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON. April 6. In the billiards match Lindrum v. Newman (only breaks above certain limits to count) the scores are:—Newman, 6289; Lindrum, 5300. Lindrum has not troubled the marker for eight sessions. EMPIRE CHAMPIONSHIP. (Received April 7, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON. April 6. The Billiards Control Council has selected L. Steeples (Sheffield), amateur champion, to represent England in the Empire championship to be played at Sydney.
