Sjf t —With reference to your article in Monday's Herald headed "Early Yacht Races,'"' can any of your readers tell nie the date that the late Captain William Lombard sailed the Secret (referred to in your article), from New Zealand to Australia ? I think it must have been prior to the date the Taniwha, left, lho Secret appears to have been a much smaller craft, and probably carried but two of a crew. * 11.0. B.
