DOMINION CRICKETERS.

MR. SWAN'S COMMENT. QUESTION OF THE BOWLING. LONDON, April 5. The New Zealand representative on the committee" of the Marylebone Cricket Club, Mr. H. D. Swan, who recently visited the Dominion, arrived at Southampton to-day by the Ruahine. He said ho was glad that the tour of the New Zealand cricketers had not fallen through, as otherwise Britain might have taken an exaggerated view of the havoc caused by the Hawke's Bay earthquake. The team was strong in batting and fielding,'but its bowling strength was an unknown quantity, as it had no fast bowler of outstanding merit and must rely mainly on spin bowlers. The members of the team were exceptionally young.
