YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH. Auckland.—The weather in Auckland yesterday was dull, with occasional light showers. The wind was light from tha south. . The barometer was steady last evening at 30.20 in. Wellington.—The weather was fine at Wellington yesterday, with overcast skies and occasional" bursts of sunshine. Tha wind was from the north. Christchuroh.— I The weather yesterday was warm and sunny until late in tha afternoon, when clouds covered the sky and a few light drizzling showers fell. The wind was light from the south-west. The maximum temperature was 6§ dec. The barometer was rising, the reading last evening being 30.25 in. Dunedin.—Although the weather was somewhat unsettled in the morning, it cleared before mid-day and the afternoon was pleasantly fine. The wind was light from the south-west. The barometer was fairly steady and the reading in th® evening was 30.15 in.
