OPEN-AIR SCHOOLS.

INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS. The second International Congress on Open-air Schools will commence in Brussels, Belgium, to-day, under the presidency of Dr. Americo Moln, of Montevideo, Uruguay. Delegates from many countries, including New Zealand, will attend. Sir Louis Barneft, emeritus professor of surgery at Otago University arid vicepresident of the Open air Schools' League of New Zealand, expects to arrive in Europe in time to lie present at the closing sessions. Mr. W. W. Rowntree, of Christchurch, a well-known member _of the teaching profession, anticipates being present throughout the conference and will read a paper on open-air schools in New Zealand.
