SOME GOOD EXHIBITIONS. MEN'S AND WOMEN'S RACES. OTAGO LEADS IN TOURNEY. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, Monday. The university swimming contest was held to-night before a largo attendance. Some good exhibitions of swimming were witnessed, although the times were not particularly fast. Otago, Canterbury and Auckland each scored five points for the swimming shield championship. The results arc as follows: 220 Yds. Men's Championship.—D Symes (Canterbury), 1; J. Blyth (Otago), 2; M. Herrich (Canterbury), 3. Won by six yards. Time, 2in 48s. 50Yds. Women's Championship. — N. Webber (Otago), 1; K. Bull (Auckland), 2: J. Thompson (Auckland), 3. Time, 33 3 ss. IOOYds. Men's Championship.—D. Symes (Canterbury), 1; M. Herrich (Canterbury), 2; W. I. Ounn (Auckland). 3. Won by a yard. Time, 63 l-ss. IOOYds. Women's Championship.—J. Thompson (Auckland), 1; K. Bull (Auckland), 2; N. Webber (Otago), 3. Won by a yard. Time, lm 275. Duai Relay Race.—Otago, 1: Auckland, 2; Canterbury, 3. Won by three yards. Time, 2m 19s. Position for the tournament shield now stands: —Otago, points; Auckland, 12 points; Victoria, 7£ points; Canterbury, points.
